More Than a Security Agency

A cooperative built on service, stability, and the dignity of meaningful work.

Our Story

SecureGuard Security Services Co-operative Ltd was established in May 1999 with a clear and uncommon mission: to deliver outstanding security services to Singapore’s homes and businesses, while creating meaningful employment for the members of TCC Credit Co-operative Limited — Singapore’s largest thrift-and-loan cooperative with more than 42,000 members.

Many of those members are retired officers and staff from the country’s Telecoms and Postal Services — disciplined, service-trained individuals with decades of experience working under uniform and responsibility. SecureGuard was created, in part, to honour that experience by offering dignified, fairly compensated post-retirement careers in an industry where their skills make a real difference.

More than two-and-a-half decades on, that founding principle still defines us. We have grown into one of Singapore’s established security cooperatives, licensed by the Police Licensing and Regulatory Department (PRD), awarded the prestigious Grade ‘A’ rating, and trusted by leading institutions, residences, and businesses across the island. But the values that built us — service, stability, and respect for our people — have not changed.

Our Purpose

Vision, Mission & Promise

Our Vision
To be a trusted leader in security services in Singapore — delivering protection that is intelligent, innovative, and reliable in every situation.

Our Mission
To provide professional, technology-enabled security services that safeguard our clients’ people, premises, and assets while creating meaningful opportunities for the men and women who serve under our uniform.

Our Promise
Dependable, responsive, high-quality security — delivered with integrity, professionalism, and the personal commitment of a cooperative that answers to its members and its clients alike.

Our Values: The ADDES Principles

Five values, one standard.

  • Advancement — We continuously upgrade our services, training, and technology to stay ahead in a fast-changing security landscape.
  • Dependability — We deliver what we promise. Every shift, every assignment, every time.
  • Dedication — We are committed to our clients and to the long-term protection of what matters to them.
  • Efficiency — We respond promptly, deploy swiftly, and resolve incidents without unnecessary friction.
  • Sincerity — We operate on trust, integrity, and unwavering professionalism.

Why a Cooperative Matters

In an industry where many agencies are driven exclusively by margin, a cooperative model creates different incentives. We are owned by our members. We are accountable to them. And that accountability extends naturally to our clients, because the long-term reputation of the cooperative depends on the quality of service we deliver every day.

Practically, this means three things:

  • Stability — We are not for sale, not at the mercy of investor turnover, and not reliant on short-term contract churn to survive.
  • Employee welfare — Our officers receive medical coverage, hospitalisation support, progressive leave, and access to TCC member benefits including education loans, bursaries, housing loans, and savings dividends — benefits unusual in the security industry. Better-supported officers serve clients better.
  • Long-term focus — We invest in training, technology, and people because that is what cooperatives do: build for the long term.
